2016 GOL! Leadville Youth Research Final Report

9th and 10th graders from Lake County High School spend the day at Colorado Mountain College in Leadville, Colorado for an Outdoor Community Building Day to focus on strengthening bonds within school “crews”. The goals for the day include building a sense of each crew as a family within the larger school family and fostering a relationship with a trusted adult (crew leader). Copyright 2019 Anabel Clark. Throughout 2015 and 2016, Youth Researchers worked together on a Participatory Action Research (PAR) project to learn what kinds of Programs, Places and Connectivity, Pathways (Jobs and Internships), and Hub might help Lake County youth connect to nature. This report summarizes what we learned as a team. We hope that our research is used in the planning and preparation of the Get Outdoors Leadville! Initiative.
