Lideres Latinoamericanos is a group of Lake County Latino/a community leaders working to support newer Spanish-speaking immigrants and to celebrate the many cultural gifts Latino/a immigrants have brought to our community.
Why the Work Matters
Lideres Latinoamericanos worked with Lake County Build a Generation, the Lake County Public Health Agency and the Community Language Cooperative to help develop a cohort of new simultaneous interpreters in Lake County. This group also offered several language justice courses for 40 Lake County community members working at local arts, education, health and social service agencies.
