Did you know that a group of local residents has been working for the last several years to help the City of Leadville and Lake County develop local housing policy that will ensure our community remains affordable for those of us who live and work here? Earlier this year, the Colorado Department of Public Health and the Environment (which helps to fund the work of Lake County’s Housing Coalition and Policy Advocacy Team) made a video about their work. To learn more, watch this 7-minute clip of Kristi Galarza (Housing Manager for Lake County Build a Generation) and members of the Policy Advocacy Team explaining how Lake County community members are leading and learning when it comes to housing. Thank you to the Partners in Evaluation and Research from Kaiser Permanente’s Institute for Health Research and the Office of Health Equity from the Colorado Department of Health and Environment for making this video come to life!
